50 Grams of Protein Before Noon
For optimal vitality, women should get around 80 grams of protein a day. Front-loading the first half of your day makes for easier success.
First thing in the morning:
Large glass warm water for hydration, can add some Celtic sea salt, lemon, or other electrolyte
Tea or Coffee or other drink
Add 11 grams of collagen peptides (Whole Body Collagen by Designs for Health or Collagen Elite from XYMOGEN)
¼ –½ cup whole milk or fortified milk alternative (2-4 grams of protein)
1 teaspoon raw honey/sweetner
If you are going to exercise: Sports nutrition and women’s health specialist Stacy Sims recommends women consume: 15 grams of protein + 30 grams of carbohydrates before exercise. So add a small banana or ½ cup cooked steel-cut oats, 3 dates, 1 medium apple, 1 medium orange, 3 dried figs or prunes, 1 slice of hearty brown bread with butter, ½ cup blueberries.
10 am Breakfast/Post-Exercise Fuel: (eat/drink within 45 Mins After Morning Exercise)
Consuming approximately 35 grams of high-quality protein within 45 minutes after exercise to support:
Breakfast and/or Post-Workout Smoothie Protein Total: 37–45 grams
1 scoop non-denatured whey protein (approximately 20 grams protein, Designs for Health Whey)
⅔-¾ cup plain Greek yogurt (approximately 15–20 grams protein)
1–2 tablespoons hemp seeds or chia seeds (approximately 2–5 grams protein)
Organic blueberries, ½ banana, greens (not spinach, which suppresses thyroid)
Water or other liquid
This easily exceeds the 35-gram post-workout goal while helping you continue toward your morning protein target.
